Object
- Pocket all of your group (solids 1–7 or stripes 9–15), then legally pocket the 8-ball.
Open table
- Until a player legally pockets a solid or stripe, the table is open.
- Your group is assigned by the first legal group ball pocketed.
Fouls
- Scratch (cue ball pocketed) or no ball hit → opponent ball-in-hand behind head string (simplified: free place in kitchen).
- Pocketing the 8-ball early → lose.
- Scratch while shooting the 8-ball → lose.

- Drag from the cue ball opposite your aim, release to shoot.
